Health Bridge is a free iOS app that syncs Apple Watch workouts to Garmin Connect. Your privacy matters — here’s how the app handles your data.
What data the app accesses Link to heading
- HealthKit workout data: heart rate, GPS routes, running dynamics, and other metrics recorded by your Apple Watch during workouts.
- Garmin Connect credentials: your Garmin account login is used solely to authenticate with Garmin’s servers for uploading workout data.
How your data is used Link to heading
- Workout data is read from HealthKit, converted to FIT format, and uploaded directly to your Garmin Connect account.
- All processing happens on your device. No workout data is sent to any server other than Garmin Connect.
- No analytics, tracking, or telemetry is collected by this app.
Data storage Link to heading
- Garmin authentication tokens are stored securely in your device’s Keychain.
- Sync records (which workouts have been synced) are stored locally on your device using SwiftData.
- No data is stored on external servers controlled by the developer.
Third-party services Link to heading
- Garmin Connect: Workout data is uploaded to Garmin’s servers using their API. Garmin’s own privacy policy applies to data stored on their platform.
- Apple HealthKit: The app reads data from HealthKit with your permission. Apple’s privacy policy governs HealthKit data.

- You can revoke HealthKit access at any time in Settings → Health → Health Bridge.
- You can log out of Garmin Connect within the app.
- Deleting the app removes all locally stored data, including sync records and Garmin tokens.
